A symbolic representation set in tones of blue, red and yellow which has in it ten stars signifying Governor Alvaro T. Antonio’s 10K-agenda, having the GTU abbreviation curved with two hands beholding a person and the provincial map, and on its background is a sun shining brightly with the tagline “United People and Government” was adjudged by representatives of the Office of the Governor as the winning entry for the Gobyerno ti Umili Logo Making Contest last February 13, 2012.

Bryan Racuya of the Cagayan State University-Aparri and a Bin-i ti Agtutubo Scholar bested the other ninety (90) entries in the said logo making contest which has truly showcased the talent, creativity and ingenuity of the Cagayano youth. His masterpiece reflected  the message of Gising Cagayan to Gobyerno Ti Umili transition.  For his winning work, Racuya received eight thousand pesos (P8,000) and a plaque of recognition plus the prestige of having his logo embedded in all GTU programs and activities.

The GTU Logo Making Contest is initiated by the People’s Action Center of the Provincial Government of Cagayan headed by Miss Criselda I. Antonio.  “Gobyerno Ti Umili” is Governor Antonio’s thrust for people-centered development and governance working toward progressive and empowered Cagayano communities. It also seeks the emergence of the Cagayano who is engaged, discerning and firmly grounded in his community and collective identity.

In her message, Miss Antonio lauded the PAC staff for the activities they have implemented to sustain the essence of the GTU program.  Like the evolution of the GTU Logo, may we also evolve as a people that we all play a vital role in making Cagayan a better place,” she said. Maxieumoso

Congratulations to the winner. It takes a far-fetched creativity and imagination to put into one symbolism all the aspirations of the provincial government of Cagayan which shall remind all public officials like me of my commitment to true Cagayano service and likewise to all Cagayanos for the services they deserve.
