Permanent, casual and co-terminous employees of the Provincial Government of Cagayan (PGC) received their last tranche of salary increase at the start of the year. The said increase is the final implementation of the four yearly tranches of the modified salary schedule for civilian personnel first implemented in June 2009 through Joint Resolution No.4, s provided under the Senate and House of Representatives.

According to Provincial Human Resources Management Officer Virgilio Olangco, permanent and casual employees were issued their Notice of Salary Adjustments (NOSAs) during the first week of January. “The NOSAs contain the salary adjustments of the employees for the year and it will reflect in their monthly payrolls,” Olangco said.

Meanwhile, the total increase for the 4th tranche for CY 2013 totalled to P45,453,192. According  to Provincial Budget Officer Edna Lingan, this fund was extracted  from the General Fund (GF) while P357,792.00 was sourced out from the Economic Enterprise Fund. “The funds are already incorporated in the 2013 Executive Budget in accordance with DBM Local Budget Circular No. 99,” Lingan said.

“Aside from the salary increase, employees will be receiving their anniversary bonuses in June 2013,” Lingan said. This benefit will be implemented in line with the celebration of the founding anniversary of the civil government of Cagayan. Another benefit is the increase in Representation and Transportation Allowance (RATA) of the department heads, depending on their salary grades,” Lingan added.

Clothing allowances, monetization of leave, and Productivity Incentive Bonuses, are also received by employees yearly.
