Governor Alvaro T. Antonio inducted today, August 20, 2013 the newly elected officers of the League of Municipalities, Cagayan Chapter at the Governor’s Office, Provincial Capitol Compound, Tuguegarao City.
Mayor Florante Pascual of Lallo was elected president during the election that was conducted in August 20, 2013 at Gattaran, Cagayan. Among the elected officers were: Executive Vice-Presidents – 1st District- Shalimar D. Tumaru(Aparri), 2nd District-Andrew Vincent R. Pagurayan(Sto. Niño) and 3rd District – Juditas L. Trinidad (Iguig), Secretary – Esterlina A. Ramos(Sta. Praxedes), Treasurer – Lolita C. Garcia (Sta. Teresita), Auditor-Nicanor De Leon(Amulung), Public Relations Offcer(P.R.O.) – Aaron P. Sampaga(Pamplona), Legal Officers- Carmelo O. Villacete(Piat) and Meynard Z. Carag(Solana) and Board of Directors – 1st District – Lloyd M. Antiporda (Buguey) and Matthew C. Nolasco (Gattaran), 2nd District- Marjorie A. Salazar(Lasam) and Leonila C. Onia(Allacapan) and 3rd District-Marilyn J. Taguinod(Peñablanca) and Kim Stephen T. Turingan(Enrile).
Among the mayors also present during the election were: Criselda I. Antonio(Alcala), Leonardo C. Pattung(Baggao), Isidro T. Cabaddu(Camalaniugan) and Darwin A. Tobias(Sta. Ana).
Hon. Ramon C. Nolasco, former mayor of Gattaran now newly elected 1st District Board member of Cagayan and Dr. Ismael V. Tumaru, former municipal mayor of Aparri, Cagayan will serve as advisers of the new set of officers.
Pascual succeeded Nolasco who was 2012 President of the League of Municipalities, Cagayan Chapter.
In attendance during the oath-taking of officers were Vice-Governor Leonides N. Fausto and Hon. Perla C. Tumaliuan, President of the Provincial Councilor’s League, Cagayan Chapter and other officials in the province.
