Vice Governor Leonides “Odi” N. Fausto was re-elected as the National President of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP) during its 58th National Assembly held last July 4-6, 2013 at Solaire Resort, Parañaque City.
The election was conducted during the first day of the National Assembly following the official welcome ceremonies of the new members of the league. In an unprecedented turn of events, the Vice Governor, by way of a motion for acclamation by the plenary, was unanimously re-elected as the National President of LVGP.
According to the members of the Provincial Board, the re-election of the Vice Governor bespeaks of the trust and confidence that his colleagues in the legislative department have given him.
The re-election of the Vice Governor is another victory and pride for the Cagayanos. Therefore, his re-election certainly warrants the highest degree of recognition and commendation, the exalted position is indeed an honor not only to his colleagues in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan but to the entire province of Cagayan, some Sangguniang Panlalawigan members said.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Board passed a resolution to express the highest degree of recognition and commendation to Vice Gov. Odi for his re-election as the National President of the prestigious league.
